Update : June 2025
Registration and payment of fees
Coaching is intended for companies and organizations, not consumers. Billing is issued to the organization, based on the number of designated participants. The registration fee includes one participant representing the organization. Additional participants may be added at any time up to 6 months after the end of the program, at a cost of $50 per person plus taxes. Payment of registration fees is made online by credit card only. DS Lawyers uses the Lära platform and the secure online payment system Global Payments.
For a registration to be confirmed, payment must be made in full at the time of registration. In exceptional cases, DS Lawyers may accept payment by Interac transfer, by prior arrangement with the administrative department.
Replacing a participant
A participant may designate another person working in the same organization to replace him/her for the duration of the cohort, at no additional cost. The name of the replacement must be communicated by e-mail to support@trainingds.ca. The person initially registered will automatically lose access to the platform, without further formality. It is recommended to add a participant if the replacement is temporary.
Refund
Registration fees are refundable in only two situations:
- Cancellation or postponement of the cohort by DS Lawyers; or
- Cancellation of registration by the participant within the permitted timeframe.
Repayment terms vary depending on the situation:
Cancellation or postponement of the cohort by DS Lawyers
DS Lawyers reserves the right to cancel or postpone the start of a program if the number of organizations registered does not reach the minimum required, or if the trainer initially scheduled is unavailable. In each case, participants will be informed by e-mail three (3) working days before the start of the cohort.
In the event of cancellation, payment already made will be refunded in full.
In the event of a postponement, participants may choose between a full refund, maintaining their registration for the new cohort start date or transferring to another cohort.
Cancellation of registration by the registered organization
All cancellations must be communicated by e-mail at least seven (7) days before the start of the program, to support@trainingds.ca, specifying the name and program number, the name of the organization registered and the reason for cancellation.
For each registration, a non-refundable fee of $ 50 plus tax per organization applies.
Please note that training and group Q&A sessions are recorded and can be listened to offline, and documents are available for download for six (6) months following the end of the program. Accordingly, no refund will be given for any cancellation request that does not respect the aforementioned seven (7) days’ notice, and access will be maintained for those registered.
Individual consultations and question periods
Registration in a program does not include individual consultations. A specific file will have to be opened, and a mandate concluded, if a registered organization wishes to obtain the services of DS Avocats, for any consultation or representation. Registered organizations may, however, e-mail their general interest and non-confidential questions in advance to support@trainingds.ca for a future Q&A session, which will be discussed and answered publicly on a priority basis.
Consent to the collection and processing of personal information
The training and group Q&A sessions are recorded on the Teams platform and can be accessed on DS LMS, as and when required, by registered participants, for the duration of the program and for 6 months following the end of the program. Recordings cannot be downloaded and may only be viewed by registered participants. Any participant in the recorded training sessions and Q&A sessions who chooses to express themselves verbally and/or open their camera, expressly consents to the processing of their image and/or voice within the above framework. Recordings will be kept securely at DS Lawyers and will be destroyed at the end of their legal retention period.
Training eligibility and certificates
Training may give rise to recognition of eligible training expenses. A training certificate can also be issued, upon request by e-mail to support@trainingds.ca, to participants who have completed the program and attended the sessions, in order to meet their continuing education obligations.
