Guy Sarault specializes in construction and energy law. He is an accredited arbitrator and mediator of the Canadian Commercial Arbitration Centre (CCAC) and an accredited mediator with the Quebec Bar and the Institut de Médiation et d'Arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ). He devotes a significant part of his practice to alternative dispute resolution methods such as negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
He has written several articles and books on construction law, is invited regularly to speak at conferences, and has taught law at the Université de Montréal for many years.
A member of the Quebec Bar since 1980, Mr. Guy Sarault joined the firm as counsel after spending a large part of his career as a partner at Heenan Blaikie.
In 2003, he was recognized by his peers and named a member of the prestigious Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.
