Neelum Raja

Biography

Neelum’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and contract law primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency, insurance, and telecommunications infrastructure. 

Neelum has advocated before the Ontario Small Claims Court and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, where she has obtained positive results for her clients. 

Neelum obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, at the University of Ottawa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University, where she graduated with high distinction in Law and Legal Studies. Neelum brings a strong research background to her practice and takes a keen interest in issues related to intellectual property and international law. 

Prior to joining DS Lawyers, Neelum worked in the insurance and hospitality industries. She was responsible for assessment and mitigation of risks and management of business operations. As a result, she firmly believes that effective legal strategies are grounded in clear communication and a client-centric approach. 

In her free time, Neelum enjoys hiking, learning about art history and volunteering with animal welfare organizations.
