The Litigation team works in collaboration with all DS law firms, as well as with the various practices within the firm, and has extensive expertise in civil and commercial litigation, tax litigation, media law, bankruptcy and insolvency, employment and labor law, and construction law. Role
The incumbent we are seeking for must have a keen interest in litigation practice and experience handling cases in this field. He or she must have a strong educational background, exceptional analytical and organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Our Ottawa/Gatineau team operates in both official languages, serving clients on both sides of the Ottawa River. The successful candidate must be able to work in both French and English.
The candidate will collaborate on a variety of files, demonstrate the ability to work in a team, and possess significant experience in civil and commercial litigation, with knowledge of bankruptcy and insolvency as well as construction law, which would be an asset.
Qualifications requises
- Member in good standing of the Ontario Bar
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in civil and commercial litigation;
- Notable experience in advocacy and negotiation;
- Demonstrated experience in trial proceeding (on the merits) and alternative dispute resolution; (mediation) in civil and/or commercial matters;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Office 365 functions;

- Excellent writing skills in both French and English;
